Andean textiles were traditionally spun from indigenous cotton plants and llama & alpaca wool. The textiles were a key part of Andean culture. They were used to make devices such as the Quipo -which was made from strings to record tax data-and of course, jewellery!
These earrings are made from a stainless steel hook, a choice of copper or silver plated wire frame that's hand-coiled, and a choice of coloured embroidery thread.
